Sheriff Wilson has worked very hard since taking office in 2009.

• Moved the Law Enforcement and Correction Officers to 12 hour shifts to better the information exchange, conduct roll calls, train, and create more of a team concept
   
• Moved the Clerks schedule around to better assist the public on Saturdays
   
• Moved personnel around to balance the work load
   
• Utilized grants for purchasing equipment for the department. This included revamping the jail camera system with a new server, and placing cameras throughout the court house for added security
   
• We have built one of the largest and strongest Neighborhood Watch Programs ever in Clare County.
   
• We have rebuilt the entire IT Network at the Sheriff’s Office with new servers, and new work stations.
   
• We have worked hard to obtain hundreds of thousands of dollars in military equipment including a Humvee, 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, John Deere front end loader (Snow removal), and multiple pieces of equipment for use by the Correction and Road Patrol Officers. This equipment was obtained at little or no cost to the County.

Sheriff Wilson believes that through training and experience we can help this County become one of the best to live in.
